We wait in hope for the Lord; he is our help and our shield | أنفسنا أنتظرت الرب. معونتنا وترسنا هو

But the eyes of the Lord are on those who fear him | هوذا عين الرب على خائفيه

For he spoke, and it came to be, he commanded, and it stood firm | لأنه قال فكان, هو أمر فصار

For the word of the Lord is right and true | لأن كلمة الرب مستقيمة

Do everything without grumbling or arguing | إفعلوا كل شئ بلا دمدمة ولا مجادلة

For it is God who works in you to will and to act | لأن الله هو العامل فيكم أن تريدوا وأن تعملوا

But let all who take refuge in you be glad | ويفرح جميع المتكلين عليك

For you are not a God who is pleased with wickedness | أبغضت كل فاعلي الإثم

In the morning, Lord, you hear my voice | يارب، بالغداة تسمع صوتي

Listen to my words, Lord, consider my lament | لكلماتي أصغ يارب. تأمل صراخي

For the Lord gives wisdom | لأن الرب يعطي حكمة

But I will sing of your strength | أما أنا فأغني بقوتك

Whoever speaks, as one who speaks oracles of God | إن كان يتكلم أحد فكأقوال الله

The wrath of God is being revealed from heaven against all the godlessness and wickedness of people | لأن غضب الله معلن من السماء على جميع فجور الناس

For I am not ashamed of the gospel, because it is the power of God | لإني لست أستحي بإنجيل المسيح لأنه قوة الله

God is just He will pay back trouble to those who trouble you | إذ هو عادل عند الله أن الذين يضايقونكم يجازيهم ضيقاً

The one Who calls you is faithful, and He will do it | أمين هو الذي يدعوكم الذي سيفعل أيضاً

May God himself, the God of peace, sanctify you through and through | وإله السلام نفسه يقدسكم بالتمام

But test them all, hold on to what is good | إمتحنوا كل شئ, تمسكوا بالحسن

For God did not appoint us to suffer wrath but to receive salvation | لأن الله لم يجعلنا للغضب، بل لإقتناء الخلاص

Always strive to do what is good for each other and for everyone else | إتبعوا الخير بعضكم لبعض وللجميع

Let us be sober, putting on faith and love as a breastplate| فلنصح لابسين درع الإيمان والمحبة

Therefore encourage one another with these words | عزوا بعضكم بعضاً بهذا الكلام

You may not grieve as others do who have no hope | لا تحزنوا كالباقين الذين لا رجاء لهم

For you yourselves have been taught by God to love each other | لأنكم أنفسكم متعلمون من الله أن يحب بعضكم بعضاً

For God did not call us to be impure, but to live a holy life | لأن الله لم يدعنا للنجاسة بل في القداسة

It is God’s will, that you should be sanctified | لأن هذه هي إرادة الله, قداستكم

We always thank God for all of you | نشكر الله كل حين من جهة جميعكم

Live in peace and the God of love and peace be with you | عيشوا بالسلام وإله المحبة والسلام سيكون معكم

So I will very gladly spend for you everything I have | وأما أنا فبكل سرور أنفق وأنفق لأجل أنفسكم

For when I am weak, then I am strong | لأني حينما أنا ضعيف فحينئذ أنا قوي

But He said to me: My grace is sufficient for you | فقال لي: تكفيك نعمتي

And no wonder, for Satan himself masquerades | فليس عظيما إن كان خدامه أيضا يغيرون شكلهم

And God is able to bless you abundantly | والله قادر أن يزيدكم كل نعمة

We demolish arguments and every pretension | هادمين ظنونا وكل علو

Thanks be to God for his indescribable gift | فشكراً لله على عطيته التي لا يعبر عنها

For God loves a cheerful giver | المعطي المسرور يحبه الرب

Whoever sows sparingly will also reap sparingly | من يزرع بالبركات فبالبركات أيضاً يحصد

That though he was rich, yet for your sake he became poor | من أجلكم أفتقر وهو غني

They gave themselves first of all to the Lord | أعطوا أنفسهم أولا للرب

Let us purify ourselves | لنطهر ذواتنا

Come out from them and be separate | أخرجوا من وسطهم وأعتزلوا

Godly sorrow brings repentance | لأن الحزن الذي بحسب مشيئة الله ينشئ توبة

For Christ’s love compels us | لأن محبة المسيح تحصرنا

For we live by faith, not by sight | لأننا بالإيمان نسلك لا بالعيان

For we know that if the earthly tent we live in is destroyed, we have a building from God | لأننا نعلم أنه إن نقض بيت خيمتنا الأرضي فلنا في السماوات بناء

For our light and momentary troubles are achieving for us an eternal glory | لأن خفة ضيقتنا الوقتية تنشئ لنا أكثر فأكثر ثقل مجد أبديا

Though outwardly we are wasting away, yet inwardly we are being renewed day by day | بل وإن كان إنساننا الخارج يفني، فالداخل يتجدد يوما فيوما
